From Being Told He Would Never Walk To Running The LA Marathon!
Today on the Mountain Top Motivation Podcast, Paul Forchione shares how you can take control of your life by writing your own story! At a young age Paul was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and doctors said he would not be able to walk! He did not let that hold him back and found a way to learn how to walk, play varsity baseball, and run the LA Marathon! In high school he was told that he was not "college material" by his principal, but he didn't let that hold him back and he found a way! Paul is a inspiring story about not letting limitations imposed by others hold you back and finding a way no matter what! My favorite part of the episode is Paul sharing that he’s actually thankful that he had cerebral palsy at such a young age as it had taught him important life lessons that has brought him success in his life! In this episode, you’ll learn: • How Paul’s childhood influenced his success and life philosophy • What it means to keep your pen in your hand and to rewrite your story • Determination to go through challenges • Manifesting goals into reality • How everything in life has a positive opportunity • and much more! About Paul Forchione: As an infant, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. It is a medical condition that causes paralyzation of one side of the body. The doctor told his mom he would never be able to walk and she should get him comfortable in a wheelchair. His mom went on an extreme search to find a specialist that could help him. He went through intense physical therapy, barely being able to walk. He went through surgery on his foot and was able to gain a little bit more mobility. He has always enjoyed the underdog story because he was an underdog! Now, as an adult, he wants to help people achieve their goals and be a positive influence in their lives. He has his career coaching certificate and prides himself on influencing others to reach for their dreams and not let anyone put limits on them. ~ Know more about Paul Forchione on… Website: https://acalltoaction.coach Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/458141012065090 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/acall2action80 Connect with Jake Ballentine from the Mountain Top Motivation Podcast! This past week I had the privilage to spend the weekend with my Mastermind Group The Rising Tide Connection. One of the activities we did was a ropes course. It was such a cool thing to do.
I booked this activity because I have never done it because I had a fear of it. I decided I need to feel the dear but do it anyway. The rest of the group did it with ease but I was slow in the back. I was ok with it because I wanted to face my fear and go for it anyway. What I learned was that I can do things that I think are scary, and they are never as bad as I think they are. Watch this video as I share my experience on the ropes course! Thanks for watching!!!

This past week I had a funny experience getting my tires changed that sparked a life lesson solo podcast episode!
I had waited too long to get my tires changed so I knew I needed to get them changed before I left for our adventure to Yellowstone National Park! After they were finished I went to pick up the car. The moment I left the parking lot, every warning light you could imagine started blinking on my dash board! I went back to the tire shop only to find that they had put 3 matching tires and a 4th that was a different size! The car was out of balance! Once they figured out what happened they were very apologetic, and told me it would never happen again. I was not worried. I have done business with them for a long time. They replaced the odd tire and said, "I'm glad your car caught this right away because when a car is out of balance it can create serious damage!" It didn't create damage right away but being out of balance for a while would have damaged the car. This made me think about our lives. All of us get out of balance from time to time. In fact there are seasons of life where you will be out of balance. You are out of balance when you have a big project, you were out of balance during final weeks in college, you are out of balance during the holidays. We can do this when the season requires it but if we stay out of balance for too long it will do damage. After thinking about it, I am glad this funny experience happened because I got to have this life lesson and reminder. Enjoy this episode! Jake Ballentine Mountain Top Motivation See you at the top!
